Hello I'm a Lily Beetle, come and get me!

What I forgot to add is that I collect them in a container  put a bit of cling film on top if I havent got the lid . Since I have quite a few lillies they mount up pretty quick . So I share them out amongst my carniverous plant funnels .  When Ive got about 8 in the same funnel the beatles make a weird squealing sound  . and I tell them  "that just serves you right , you've had your last taste of MY lillies !".

Yes Verdun  I am .!

Sometimes when they have put on a lot of growth they dont flower . they have put everything into new growth . So next year you should have a plum year . I have both plum and apple it works out that I either have an apple year or a plum year .Its not ofton I have both . But youl find your plum is worth waiting for !

Can you name these two leaves

I think as franco says , it is a pyrethum or same family.

Keep this , but do away with the dock ,dont let it seed.

HI, figrat has beaten me to it !  If you go with this one get stocked up with a good weedkiller !

Some clematis are quicker than others.

If you want to add triffid amongst it all ,  then go for ...... what I call the giant Thistle it will grow a couple of metres tall , problebly with a dollop of horse muck around its roots will  grow gigantic even more . I wiil try to find the name for it . The plant itself grows  with grey felty leaves and prickles looks good, you may need to stake discreetly , it will branch out from the main stem . Iy has big purple thistle flowers. at the momant all I can think of is the " scottish thistle "  but I will check this out .

Another you might use are "Cardoons" similar though I think it was known as a veg in the victorian times . They ate the young leaves .

J Parkers let down

nodisab, I hope that you hadnt ordered the poppies which I had ordered. They have just arrived and are much better than the first lot . but as I say things are differant how they work . They are now saying you only have so long to complain about a shrub . I can not agree with this as you usualy get some as bare roots. So by the time they are supposed to get into leaf , its too late .

I think Parkers have changed ownership , They are not as good as they used to be . must add though I am still waiting for the replacements . So I could have a change of mind.

I mostley go to the garden centers now.
