Thank you rosemummy, iam going to take some cuttings as a back up anyway so i shall just prune it back hard and pot it up using the prunings as cuttings. It will be potted up until next spring as redesigning the whole garden over the dorment season.  Hopefully it will survive.

Rose murderer ??

Hi guys.

I've been following these boards for a long time without anything of note to post, however i have a question. I have a white bush rose which is reliably one of my favourite plants in the garden, the problem is i am about to deck the area in which it lives (end of july start of august). In order to put the foundations for the deck down i need to dig up said rose. As i don't want to lose the rose would it survive digging up and potting up in july or am i about to murder my favourite plant. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Zantedeschia without flowers

i had a good sized clump of the large white variety growing in a bed about 2 foot from the front of my house which i left in year after year and it always done well. i moved house at the start of march and couldnt bare to leave them them, so i dug them up and they split naturally into 3 seperate clumps which i have planted around the edge of my new garden. They have all done fantastic this year with plenty of flowers per clump, Im going to leave them in again this winter as per usual and see how they do further away from the house.

fingers crossed.... i will post in spring to let you know how they got on!
