Hi Edd I have taken the fruit off, but because it was so heavy the branches are now touching the ground. Is it likely to spring back or as per Verdun need to chp it back? These bushes I have to admit have not been touched for at least ten years

Hi everyone, I know that you all can help me, I followed the instructions in the gardeners world magazine to cut the thickness stems out, what I need help on is that I have branches which are falling over onto the ground. Should I cut them back or do I just need to tie the stems together. I have had a fantastic crop this year approx 10lb I weight of berries. Thanks for any advice you can give me

Stopping ants climbing cherry tree

Hi everyone, I have been using the molasses on the tree for quite a few weeks, unfortunately I have noticed that the ants seems to have grown tolerant to the mixture And are again starting to leave the aphid larvae again.

I would like to try the ash, but at present I don't have any, so I will try the white vinegar next and also ask my neighbour for his ashes as I know that they have a fire going today.

To Edd, thank you for your tip concerning the molasses, to date no ant and no aphids are climbing my cherry tree.  I will keep a check and apply again if needed.

I visited my friend and she informed me it has never flowered, only that the end of the leaves turn to a pinky purple in late summer. Hope this is helpful

Hi everyone I am going down tonight so I will have look, also I will ask her what the flower looks like. I have had a look at various pictures on Google, it looks similar but the leaves are tightly packed, and these seem to splay out wards.
