best kind of bird feeder?

I have made an area  about 8' x 6' with a weed  membrane and gravel, I pushed the birdfedder stand through the membrane and have bird feeders with mealyworms, sunflower hearts, fatballs and niger seed, if the seed germinate s when it falls its easy to pull out.I also have a 2' corner on the patio just outside the patio doors, I have put a glass top on it to keep the food dry, blackbirds, robins, sparrows, and dunnocks soon get used to it, at night I hace 2 hedgehogs who polish off the mealy worms and suet.suietpellets

Where are all the birds ?

The birds are late coming back to the garden this year, but today I had sparrows, blackbirds, dunnocks,and a blackcap, and of cause the blasted pigeons. I have a seed tray on the floor  just outside the patio door so I can see up close who comes to visit.To stop the pigeons eating all the food I cover it with a large hanging basket cage which helps stop the pigeons getting the food. The  small birds hop in and out quite happily and the blackbirds  soon pluck up the courage to go in the cage,  the pigeons pick up the sunflower hearts that fall from the hanging feeders.

It has only flowered twice in 9 yrs and both times this late, I can`t bring it in because its planted in a south facing corner of the garden.

I have an agave,and its just starting to flower, can anyone tell me why  it flower so late when the frosts will kill it?

Hi, I have two peppers on my kitchen windowsill, one I grew from seed, and one from G.W.live,  this year, I "ve only had one pepper on each plant , but they still look heathly, should I keep them in the kitchen over winter or start again next year. Regards Lyn
