i have a small hellebore that has just popped up.  it is in the wrong place and i would like to move it.  is now a good idea.

i live in Kent so at the moment weather is quite mild.  i don`t want to kill it.

hi Verdun,

yes this is the yellow stemmed and yellow leaf dogwood.  it gets full sun every day the sun shines, not in the wind at all as it is sheltered from by a 7 foot rose but it just insists on growing leaving to the left.

can anybody help me please.

my yellow dogwood grows to the left if you are facing the plant.  in the 2015 prune hubby cut out the crooked branches growing to the left.  we then tied the rest of the branches up with string in an effort to make it grow straight.  still it grows crooked.

can anybody give me advice please.

SCIRPUS CUBENSIS

Posted: 23/09/2015 at 12:20

Hi all

i had this strange plant growing in a pot with a delphinium.

now that it is flowering i have identified it as SCIRPUS CUBENSIS.

i know it is bog loving and i have several places to put it as my garden backs on to a field and floods when it rains.

does anybody know how tall this plant grows please.  i have googled it and seen it at the side of rivers and ponds and it looks to be 6foot or more.

just need clarification please.  if anybody has information on it that would help also.
