Hi 'passionate' - I agree with 'gardeningfantic' I'd really love to see your photos.  If I see any changes or anything re my garden hole, I'll let you all know.  Fun isn't it?!

Alina, Kezza and Gary - thank you for your ideas.  I can't believe it's a mole as I'd see holes everywhere.  I don't think (hope!) it's wasps as I've not seen any.  But I'm fascinated by the idea of a cave for frogs as the frog pond (tiny one) is right next to the veggie patch, and also by the idea of mice, because as you quite rightly say, Kezza, it is right next to the Kale like you.  It will be interesting to see what happens over time (especially to the Kale!).

Hi.  Attached are two photos of a hole made in my veggie patch.  What could it be?  I have seen one bee make a solitary hole near by, but it is tiny.  I know I have mice under the garden shed.  Could they have moved?  I have frogs.  Could it be a frog?  What else could it be?  I don't think it is ants as it's too big and hasn't left an ant hill.  Any ideas gratefully received.  I won't damage it, I'm just curious.  Thanks.
