I don't think they were ladybird larvae unfortunately, nor did it look like a raspberry beetle. Totally stumped!!!!

Thanks for that. I won't need to get rid and start again then, she asks hopefully ! Is there a spray I can use?

I have a bumper crop of raspberries this year, growing glen moy and glen ample. I have noticed brown crusty marks on the tops when I pick them. the leaves on my plants seem to be being eaten away too. I have fed and watered the plants regularly. I also noticed a bug under a leaf, 3 or 4 mm long black with orange markings. Could this be my problem? If so, what is it and can the problem be cured.

Yours hopefully

Do we have to do anything different to the usual Autumn care for our lawn with it being relatively fresh turf, laid in the early summer.

They were small, straight and to be honest, I didn,t take much notice of the heads. They were definately creamy white not grey or brown.

Thanks for that info. The grubs I saw were quite small and looked very similar to white fly larvae maggots.

Hi

I have just started to grow vegetables this year and have been successful with most of it. However, something has been eating my cauliflowers. I have had the caterpillars from the cabbage whites which I have kept in check . The main problem was what looked like maggots eating the plant from the roots. Any ideas what this is and how I can prevent it next year please.

Thanks
