You should find that the oil only comes out if you tip it one way but it should be OK if you tip it the other way, that's what my mower instructions say anyway.
Depends where you have had them, they will need hardening off if they have been inside.
I know someone locally who lives in a large property with a couple of acres of land around the house for their 6 chickens to roam during the day but the chickens have totally destroyed their garden.

I have Violas in easy fill hanging baskets, been in all winter, they haven't completly covered the baskets but they look pretty good.
