Stratification of Seeds

Posted: 27/03/2014 at 20:37

I always do this with my Hemerocallis seeds, I soak them in a solution of Hydrogen Peroxide for 24hrs then put them into small ziplock bags with some damp Vermiculite & place in the fridge for 4 weeks

how do they grow begonias tubers as a plug plant

Posted: 27/03/2014 at 20:31

T&M sell seeds of Apricot Shades Begonia, so presumably they grow the plug plants from seed too.

The tubers would form as the plant grew during the season, then the tuber can be kept from year to year, growing in size each season.

I have a birthday this year so what are ŷou going to get me?

Neighbour has trashed our beech hedge!!

My neighbour did the same to the hedge between our properties although in my case it was his hedge, it will thicken up nicely over a couple of years & it is often recommended for beech hedges to be cut back hard.

Don't tie up the leaves, you can give them a feed also, builds them up for next year.

Which trees would you plant?

How about some Sorbus, they have good Autumn colour, berries & they don't get too big.
