keep putting down bait until it is no longer taken is the trick don't disturb anything when baiting as a rat is a creature of habit and will always use the same way in to the same way out regularly.

Allotment shed base

I bought a 8x6 metal shed some years ago and my base was four large pallets held together with 3x2 batten.It has the added advantage of aerating the shed as the wind can run underneath in this way airs the shed.Cheaper than sleepers.Then just fill in gaps instant floor.

Top soil getting wet

Hi I have about 2 tonnes of top soil in large builders sacks Ive had for about a month it is covered up but it was very wet when I put in bags.I won't to use this for raised beds is it still ok to use as it cost me a lot of money what do you suggest I mix with it to aerate it and dry it out a bit.I also have 2 large bags of Irish peat compost can I incorporate this into it in some way.Thank you in advance for any help.

Waste land clearance

hi I've just been alloyed a piece of waste land beside my house very overgrown with brambles and couch grass.I am of limited time to clear it does anyone know of a quick and easy way to clear it effectivly is about quarter of an acre

Hi I've got lots of good compost at my allotment it is however made from all my weeds from said allotment. I t has been composting for approx 2 years have had ants making a nest in it,its almost like sand is it OK to grow seeds in and is there any way I can store it or do I need to use it up before I can start again thank you for your support in advance???

My garlic is growing well but just read on the internet that Sulphate of Potash is good for them.If so firstly what does it do and how do you apply and when.The website said to put it on in February?. Any advice appreciated???
