I too would pot them on. The chances are they'd only get eaten and trampled by some creature, before they had sufficient time to put down good roots...

...but don't pamper them - just put them somewhere sheltered...away from the full blast of the elements.

Never been plagued with whitefly in a greenhouse, outside yes. Those things catch a lot of useful insects, put it in the bin. Companion planting has done me fine for the past 10yrs the best deterrent for any unwanted beasties, organic and friendly too.

Everyone thinks from one plant you get 25kg of potatoes, even main crop. Quite the opposite is the norm.

Well, one thing is for sure - the brief can't be changed. So lets try and meet the brief - get ya thinking caps on people.

What kind of plants you after ( grasses, flowers, friut...veg etc)- and what size space you covering ? you need big plants, little plants, shade loving plants, full sun.....

All wood rots with time. Pallet wood tends to be very strong and heat treated.

I beg to differ with regards to the strength of pallet wood - seen nothing but rubbish quality, lately.

You don't need to shut the lid. Mine are all off, this time of year. Kind of defeats the purpose for which they were made for.
