CLEMATIS FRECKLES PRUNING

Posted: 03/04/2013 at 11:09

Appears to be in group one for pruning - remove the damaged parts after flowering.

But I don't suppose tidying up beforehand will hurt, that much.

How about a standard fushia, it won't provide all year interest but looks quite stunning

Mines secondhand with glass. It's solid structure unlike todays models which look flimsy. It's not perfect by any stretch of the imagination but one I do know - it want collapse.

Wooden sounds good but unless it's made using hardwood (which is pricey) a lot of maintenance is going to be required to keep it up to spec.

Garden Questions and Advice :)

You need to add tags, like gardening, garden etc Ryan. Otherwise very few people will see your post when they use searches within wordpress or google. I know you've just started, but it's very important if you want to build up an audience.

Goodluck - looks great !

What tree is this?

I agree with the fact that it looks very much like climber of some sort, it's searching as opposed to hanging. looks like it has purple flowers too.

Help - should my acer palmatum be in acid soil?

I've never planted any of my acers in acid compost and I have quite a collection - always multi-purpose but never in that cheap woody rubbish. Humax I use.

Help! What colour should I paint my fence?

Looks fab even without the plants. Gonna look awesome when it's planted up. I'm a fan of dark oaks/browns. I think greens, as well as colours work well against that coloured darkdrop.

Like with interiors, a strong colour of some sort can really help to lift the more subtle shades.

I do like the idea of using a different colour for the pergola. A modern concept.

A nice warm windowsil in the house, works as good as any heated greenhouse.

The average gardener

I'd hate to be called the "average gardener", its like being branded "normal".

I am unique.......a unique gardener.
