Acer problem

Hi, just an update, I sat tight with my acer as you all advised and it is alive and well.  It  actually looks better than ever, really full leaves, a complete transformation.  Thanks again, I was on the verge of giving up.

Acer problem

Hi,can anyone help? I have an acer palmatum 'Atropurpureum' in a large pot. I have had it for several years and it has been steadly growing well.  However, there seems to be a problem this spring, the new leaves seem to be well grown and plentifull but they do not seem to be unfurling properly and seem quite limp.  I have not treat it any differently, can anyone give any suggestions or advice?

Hi, I have some gladioli in the garden I woud like to replace.  Does anyone have any suggestions for a summer plant that has a bit of height to it ( not necessarily as tall as the gladioli )  I would like it to have a long flowering period and if it was hardy that would be an added bonus.

Hi, I had two beautiful cosmos last summer, I put them out at mid June and both had masses of flowers right through until the end of September ( remember to dead head though) and neither of them were more than about a foot and a half.

Hi, I have a forest flame which is full of lily of the valley flowers but not much new growth as yet, does the new growth appear where the flower has been?  I do have a small section of new growth to one side but the inside of the plant seems a bit sparse
