Lack of iron in the soil, a good dose of ericaceous feed and only using rainwater will help it along.

bit early for primrose?

My primulas always seem to flower at this time of year and then again properly in March/April. I never complain

Confused by cyclamen

They last well for me in containers and sheltered spots. Ive managed to keep about 30-40 plants from last year without any protection. All are starting to re-emerge and flower now.

I find any of the Cyclamen varieties very pretty through Winter in sheltered spots, always do well here.

Especially Coum

Slug resistant plants

Posted: 05/09/2015 at 21:09

Havent been bothered by slugs too much this year. Though there seem to be quite a few about.

I garden with plants that tend to be Vigorous or resistant to damage.

Penstemons, Astilbes, Geums, Roses, Pelargoniums, Begonias, Gazanias, Salvias, Rudbeckias and many more

I grow anything that Slugs and snails tend to like in Containers.

oh and Verdun, they clump up FAST, so you can make plenty of new plants without a problem very quickly.

Mildew free monardas

I think I showed you 1 before Verdun. Its called GardenView Scarlet, seems to flower all Summer and has never developed Mildew.

My garden is a magnet for mildew too.
