Dahlias and Slugs

Posted: 19/08/2014 at 11:18

Ive grown all but 1 of my Dahlias in pots this year. The ones in containers have slight caterpillar damage but untouched by slugs.

The Juliet Dahlia I put in the ground is doing fine. The slugs seem to have gone for my Shasta Daises this year.

Best method is after dark hunting with a torch!

Can you give me some advice on Passion Flowers?

Echinacea White Swan - I bought this as a bare root from Wilkinsons and started it in the greenhouse, extremely impressed as 1 of the flowers has lasted over a month!

Ditto Dove. Daffs and crocus can be planted now. Anything else I would wait til October-November

well you must have! :P

Very pretty flowers that sometimes overwinter.

Plants originally are from South Africa and the flowers will only open when the sun is shining
