Having a go at a cut flower patch...

http://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/flowers/larkspur/growing-annual-larkspur-plants.htm

Have you seen this Woo. I have tried putting them in fridge for a while, also just put packet of seed in freezer for a few days. The freezer ones eventually germinated, Then my cold house disintegrated in the storms and the ones in the fridge were literally scattered to the winds. I have redone a lot from the same packet that were frozen and will wait and see - took 3-4 weeks to germinate though!

Others gardeners just seem to put them on soil so.................................

Lovely here. Felt really warm when I was weeding without a coat on.

Have managed weeding 2 white beds - now removed all the yellow daffs I was sold as Thalia.

Another corner turned - First proper gardening done, soon be fit again

Hello

Been up for ages now - had a walk, been shopping, checked GH- waiting for bacon sarny for lunch.

Going to do weeding this afternoon, feel quite good today but am so unfit not sure how much I'll be able to do.

No Easter choco here either but have suggested a trip to a GC next week - will see.

Thanks Kitty

This year is a practice year for me as never really grown annuals or cut flowers before. Also gives daughter chance to change her mind before the definitive list and time to practice making bouquets etc.

Also need to ensure I have sown to get optimum amount of flowers for the end of July

All sunflowers now seem to have germinated, Next week i'll sow the 2nd batch of zinnias. Then I thnk it's a case of nurturing and finger crossing.

I have ordered some plugs as well, not sure when they arrive - again new to me

Hello

Yesterday took cat (adopted as was Mum's) to vet, she is long haired and I just haven't been able to keep on top of her knots. Anyway found out she is 14 years old (vet records) and she purred all the time they were 'strimming' herm, no claws or growls. Great

Now waiting for Hot Cross Bun dough to prove. Not making so many this year, used to make some for Mum and her buddies and some for neighbours - this year just for us and any visitors

No plans as wet!!!!!

Not GC as OH won't visit them on a holiday, prefers mid-week

Easter Day flower count - yes I'm up for it - varieties or just number out?

Will say Happy Easter on Easter Day, that is not today!!

Always think I would happily live in a 2 up 2 down as long as there was a GARDEN, or even a titchy bungalow (no offence meant to anyone )
