Oh Busy Lizzie, you seem to have an amazing garden in a wonderful part of the world.

Do you have visitors marvelling about what an English garden looks like?

What's in flower this Christmas

Hi all

I started this thread as I have just taken a photo of a little rose growing in a chimney liner. It has struggled all summer and now is flowering its socks off

I'm using HM mincemeat date 2007 - will mix it with a bit of shop bought stuff and give it a slurp!

Daughter rang me up asking if I have a 1.7l pudding basin and lid. she is feeding partners family Christmas day. I am waiting for more urgent phone calls, requests for equipment. She cooked the dinner 2 years ago and said 'never again' but I guess she's mellowed.

Just lit burner which haven't done for a few nights: tree, decorations, wrapping paper everywhere (not necessarily on presents), 'beginning to look a lot like Christmas'

Thing is last couple of days, as it's been mild, and garden has been calling me

Yes it is tree day tomorrow. Know rush though Jo there are 24hours in a day

Blind men have been and hopefully dog and us will now have an undisturbed night - and yes I do know what i have written it's like asking how do you make a Roman blind

Lovely tree Rain.

Now have my mothers old tree up in the dining room, have not found her decorations but have a few of ours. It was bitter sweet as it is the tree she fell n which started all her problems

we promiced our son we would not baby anything big, I have just wrapped a box full of little things, it would have been easier to buy one big pressie, but we do as we are told - well mostly

So sorry about your friend Maud, it is hard no matter what time of the year it happens.
