Oh I'll rest it was my solution That Attitude jusr doesn't work some times. Was told I am right age for tis to happen

On Saturday i was told Inkie cat was right age for her problems to develop.

Seems a good medical answer!

Here I am. Rushing to help

How do I create extra height to my existing fence?

Could, if it's possible mount some 30cm trellis on top? Alternatively a pagoda would shield you from prying eyes especially covered with lovely climbers. It would also give you something to look at and scents in your house.

Glyn I found Skyfall great entertainment. Won't say more except Daniel Cranes body Yum!

Probably a mistake putting that on herer.

Just been to greenhouse and attempted hardwood cuttings on this pretty shrub we inherited absolutely no idea what it is but would like a back up in case anything happens to it. Tried with softwood cuttings - dismal failure.

Love the Noddy costume complete with getaway car, Hope Jean is OK- not too cold. Can I be tessa Bear please?

Birds

When the seeds germinate into wheat or ehatever if its not in way I allow to ripen and then put stalks on my bird table.

We have gold finches, blue, great tits, This year there have been a couple of nuthatch, Their antics are also very amusing. Just had 3 starlings visiting, Mr Robin (very bossy) and wood pigeons who walk around under the feeders eating the detritus from the other birds. Also I think Black caps but not sure. Have not seen Chaffinched this year and blackbirds hop around on the fencebut don't visit at moment.

I do feel lucky about the goldfinches as at last house we saw them but they never visited.

Just come in after taking cuttings from my mysterious shrub. Have put 5 in a long pot, think it had a rose in it, and followed all instructions, made a compost mix of, JI3, pot compost and grit. Have dated pot, and as I do not have a cold frame (must put it on one of my Christmas lists!) have popped it in far corner of my unheated greenhouse, just have to remember to water it occassionally.

Current plan is to plant pot put in spring

Reading posts again I think a gravel tray for pot would be an idea. Am I right?

 Morning All

Last night settled down to catch up on University Challenge and Only Connect before this evening. Woke up with The History of the World which I find very boring but OH likes it so went to sleep again.

Can't get going this morning

Dog came back from walk very wet and full of bounce, Is now in isolation in kitchen as his large hairy feet will take hours to dry even after rub down

Absolutely paining here. Fits the mood!

For those who never know what to do with red cabbage

NB we use apple rather than cranberries unless we are being festive
