Love that cartoon Geoff - in a previous life that would have been me - bed late, up early, no time for anything else!

O don't really think this avatar works. Will do better next time

I'd stick to more layers and staying in. At least you can see what men are up to.

In our previous house there was always stuff that needed doing - fence, gate, paving slabs, major stuff so we moved and ended up gutting

house and garden!!! Mind you, would n't have spent the money on old house. Felt ti wasn't worth it.

Stafford - Do you llive in Hedgeford then, Becks? Been trying to work out whhere you are by clues !

Going on hunt for more suitable curtain pole in minute.

Oooh Kate. Don't start me on Chelsea Buns again

As I have lost a lot of weight, - very hard work-,  much as would like am not sure if I dare cook them!

Pleased to hear its improving with you Jo.

Hard luck Kate

It's so hard to keep small business going. Daughters partner finds it really tough some weeks.

BUT you have a new job,

Only a part time forker now as well. Things could be worse-Not be able to Fork at all

I don't know how longit is since you taught but it will be so tiring at first. Good Luck

And 'Bupthalmum Speciosum' I have a new avatar.

Doesn't worl too well, a lot of shadow so may have to change it again. See how 'Inkie' works in cyber land

Would recommend the film. Cinema was packed. Only cost £5 a ticket (over 60) but then son's was only £6

What's the weather like in your area?

Malvern Hills

Clearing a little now but my little rain gauge says we had 12ml over night.

Looking at the hills I think there may be more to come.

Christopher Lloyds books - good idea for Christmas list. I have visited Great Dixter a couple of times, and love the philosophy behind the garden. Thanks

where to find plants with someones name

Posted: 01/11/2012 at 10:28

I am currently trying to make a family border.

I went onto the RHS search engine typed in several * and the name and had some good results. Even found one with my real name, What a surprise.

It does not mean the plants are readily available though.

Phew - what a relief to be Bjay again. Will change avatar later - will need to find something suitable.

Cinema we went to last night is 'back to the old days' We sat in the circle, had to walk through projection room to get to seats, on the uncomfortable old style seats - no reclining ones with head rests here.  But we sat on the edge of our seats from start to finish (not because they were uncomfortable). Had everything, humour, sex (well it was James Bond) car chases, shoot outs. I know not everyones cup of tea, but.......

Loved your spooky houyse Becks. Can't wait to see what you do in 6 weeks time!

Flo - sun what sun. Really heavy rain overnight and more to come by the looks of it

Jo- Hope you are managing, just think how warm you will be when they have gone. Just keep up with the warm drinks and soup.

Loads of birds in garden this morning. First time we have seen them since we re-organised and added xtra feeders. Robin, chaffinch, goldfinch, blue tits, and a plain brown bird  about the size of a great tit. Could ot be a Dunnock. Will look in the book later.

OH just gone to supermarket so time for a cup of tea.

Thanks for that. So simple. Much better than wrapping whatever we can find - bubble wrap /old tea towells around it.

Will do it later today

2 seperate lots of visitors with mums. Still got lots of monster treats.

Missed the Caramac, didn't know you could still get it.

Going to bed now - seen very exciting film at proper cinema tonight

'Scarey' ones came before we left. Did a house tally and probably went out before others came a-knocking at my door
