Morning fellow forkers. Todays topis is my s.......g roof. Half of the £5000 is work on the roof. I chimney to be taken down and then the hole in the roof to be filled in, i chimney to be rerendered. The other £2.500 is the work to be done indoors because the roof had been leaking and we hadnt realised. Insurance company told me i should have got up on the roof myself to make sure it was all ok. How daft. We are now waiting for another quote to arrive. Needless to say it is raining and there is more water coming in. Right im off to put up shelves in the utility room. I maybe some time.

Morning fellow forkers, the saga of the roof goes on. House insurance wont pay a penny towards it. At the mo the total is about £5000. Bl........ h. Still waiting for another quote but cant imagine it will be much different. No holiday this year.

On a lighter note my lovely daughter got another A on her last asignment, Proud mummy alert At the moment she is trying to sort out a work placement for the summer. So far the theatre list is up to 20. so she could go anywhere in the country.

Have a lovely day my friends im off to get the dustbins in. My life is just full of excitement

Allotment Wars- BBC1 Tuesday 22nd January

The only good thing about snow is that my allotment looks the same as everyone elses. We all get on quite well.......apart from the lady that is hardly ever there and lets all the weeds take over, we do have a moan about her. The local council wants to give up overseeing all the sites so we are looking at self management. Should be interesting

Has anyone got any snow yet?

Still snowing and its supposed to get worse. Here on the south coast we rarely get any snow but that is the exception this year. Its nice to be in the warm and watch it out the window.

Darren, i know the feeling well. I got knocked off my bike last year by another cyclist to say it hurts is an understatement. Hope you are feeling better soon.We have light snow at the moment but the forcast is for more. A few years ago i bought things with studs in to go over your wellies, marvellous invension. Managed to walk to local shop without slipping. Last thing i need to do is to fall over with my dodgy back.Keep warm fellow forkers
