Deformed beans

My french beans ended up the same i thought it was down to watering as this year they either had too much then there wasnt enough. Runners were brilliant and if i eat any more will end up in the marathon next year. Ha Ha

Sloe gin is lovely although it is a bugger washing all the sloes and then making a small cut in each one. I picked 11lbs of sloes last year when i was on holiday in the New Forest. Think i've only had 1 small glass of it.......just popping out to the kitchen. Hic

HONEYSUCKLE won't flower :-(

Having given mine a short back and sides last autumn brcause there was a lot of dead wood it has been beautiful this year, masses of flowers and very stongly perfumed. It seems to flower on the new years growth.

Gardeners World Chilli Trial

I missed it too but managed to grow some pretty decent ones this year. Started them all off in a propagator then trandferred to greenhouse when big enough. Cant stand them myself but my husband loves them.Hoping to keep some over the winter and have bought them fleece jackets to wear. Fingers crossed.

What's the weather like in your area?

Dear Just learning worked out i have 10 pets buried in my garden, all much loved and much missed. The husband suggested i put a map of them all in with the house deeds but i am never moving again too much like hard work. Not so much rain today and managed a shoppping trip into town without getting too wet. Started the dreaded christmas shopping at least i get it all done early so i dont have to battle with hoards of people

The most lethal one we made was from plums had a hangover for 4 days after that one. Funny thing is i dont drink these days, maybe the odd glass of wine but thats it.

Have always hated rice pudding, semolina and tapioca. I was in hospital having tonsils out when i was 7 and was force fed the horrid stuff. Better day today went shopping, had lunch which included cake. Friend Elaine needed new dress to wear to a wedding this weekend 1st shop we went into found the dress straight away spent the rest of the time at lunch.
