Walking backwards and forwards to the water tanks at the allotment is such hard work so im GLAD i didnt have to do that so much this year.

Think it would be best to dig the manure in. I plant mine at the allotment where there are plenty of pidgeons who like to eat them. I hang old cds on a low washing line and this does put some of them off.

Chilli plants - keep or chuck and start again next year?

Shall remember that thankyou edzell, was wondering how to go about it all as some of them are huge. Hoping we will still get some sun to finish off ripening the ones i have left.

Putting the garden to bed for the winter is a hateful chore but it needs to be done. Ive got so much rubbish there is no more room in compost bins. Hope to get to the allotment this week as the weather looks to be good. Shall watch the repeat of Downton this afternoon as i never seem to stay awake long enough to watch it on a sunday evening. Think if a i stay awake any later than that i will turn into a pumpkin

What's the weather like in your area?

Nice and sunny today and quite warm. Still putting the garden to bed the place looks like a bomb has hit and the compost bins are full so i best get recycling bags that the dustmen will take. Think the weather this week is going to be ok so i maybe a trip out to the butterflies near Chichester.

Hi folks am allowed to use the laptop today. The daughter was using hers for her uni work so she csn be forgiven , the husband spent the day farting around and playing games. Didnt catch strictly on friday but saw last nights. Darcy an improvement on Alesha but i did get fed up with the yeahs. Cant stand Jerry Hall even if she does have the same name as my dad Gerry Hall. Last time he was in hospital the chap in the next bad was called Tom Jones. I was finally discharged from hospital on friday, taken 3 years to stop my nose bleeds. Hoping you are all ok.

At your allotment site do they have a shop? i think different green manure seeds are good for different things, i grew field beans last year which i was getting ready to dig and then my husband spootted them and ate them. Should say on thepackets what they are good for
