Lokelani. Didnt know you could convert an ordinary bike. I,ve had my bike about 6 years and his name is Alan. Dont know what i would do without it as i have serious back problems back and unable to pedal a normal bike. 1 charge will get me into town and back about 4 times, thats a 3 mile round trip. I go everywhere and know there is more of them i dont get so many funny looks still get a few comments though. A wonderful sense of freedom as i dont have to rely on the buses or ask other people for a lift. I have to pedal a little bit but then after that in zooming along, well about 15 miles a hour.

Mmmmmmm ice cream and single malt whisky sounds wonderful but not good for my diet. Which has gone completely up the creek at the moment. Another sunny day here in worthing although they have forcast rain. Today my tumble dryer is being delivered and i hope not to use it for quite a while. in fact its just arrived

getting on with the neighbours

When i moved to this house there was ivy 18 inches deep on all the back fences ( 3 sides to my garden) No one had bothered with the garden and neither had the neighbours. It took 6 trips to the tip to get rid of it all and when replacing our fences we dug it out. Neighbour to one side has a prolific grape vine it has taken 2 years of asking but he has finally cut back the trunk that was leaning on in and around my fence. How long did it take him? 10 minutes. Have you heaed the saying good fences make good neighbours. Luckily our friends bought the house the other side and all is well with the gardens swapping plants and produce when we have extra.

A beautiful summers day in Worthing today. Have been to allotment and waging war on the weeds. How come they grow so well when other things dont. I hear the weather is good for the next few days so im not packing away any jumpers just yet.

Cost of charging up my bike is a lot cheaper than driving the car out to the garden centre and i know all the short cuts. Went out there on friday morning and stocked up with seeds for the time being.

Is there anything that can go in now for an autumn crop ?

I will try again this year to grow salad bits including radishes. All the seeds i planted rotted in the wet. Very disheartening but i will survive. If i dont keep falling over that is.
