My leeks still look like chives. Was late planring them last year but i eventually  got some lovely leeks. Ran out of room at the allotment so they had to wait.Definately use the dibber and drop i plant into the hole then water them in.I guess they will catch up in the end. Its all done to patience.

Still waiting for mine to produce anything worth eating. Think i will blame the weather. Its dissapointing the year starts off so well and then it rains and rains and rains.

Gave my overgrown honeysuckle a short back and sides last year as it was getting too woody. Pleased to say this year masses of new growth and flowers. Have never fed it except with a bit of what comes out of the compost bin each year. Dont think we have to worry about them not getting enough water this year.

Fork Handles

Posted: 04/07/2012 at 13:03

Joking aside my fork handle has broken. It belonged to my great uncle who would be about 120 if he was still alive. Have tried everywhere to get a replacement, but it is only a certain generation that understands the joke. My daughter works in a candle shop and every day the phase about "fork candles" is spoken and they all think it has been said for the first time. Any ideas where i can get a new handle!!!!!!

The weather has stayed fine and sunny so i did turn out both compost bins. I am now more compost than women. Why do i always get so dirty? Clouding over now so dont think it will be long before it rains, but its been dry all weekend and we even fittid in a barbeque.
