Excessive cost of seeds

Not only do T & M hike the prices of seeds each year but they also reduce the number of seeds in each packet.Example Rosada tomatoe seeds they increased the price by 20% then reduced the number of seeds from 10 to 8, their price £4.50  bought 10 seeds from "Just Seed" for £1.50.

jersey plant direct

In the first instance I must state I have no vested interest in Jersey plants Direct.Over the past 4 years I have used them and had first class service together with plants of quality. This was after being severely let down by most of their competers.Only once have I had reason to complain which was dealt with politely and efficiently. Several garners I know echo my experience with Jersey I just hope they keep up this level of service. My fear is T & M will gain a monopoly of garden products then our pockets will suffer.

I found out via a wrong telephone number I was given!when dialing it T &M answered then asked how I had got the number. I was obviously the same switchboard the telephonist was coy about the relationship with Vernon but eventually admitted they had been bought out by T & M.

i would not use them again because of recent poor service and product.

When to take off the propagator lid?

Hi Mark 1963

Normally I remove the seedlings to a cooler temperature say 50 0F when 1/3 have germinated.

However with Begonia seeds I still do not have an answer because they are so small, previously I have had both success and failure with begonia seeds. This year my current approach is to remove them from 75 0F to 60 0F when they have germinated around 90%
