I too have had problems with Parkers in the past and decided to avoid them.
Unfortunately they masquerade under other names so I recently placed an order thinking I was dealing with guardian newspapers plant section.
It was the same story almost dead minute barely rooted plants, incomplete orders etc. Have alerted my credit card company and also put my complaint on Facebook
The surprising part is there are glowing comments on facebook and wonder who wrote them.
Customer sales at least reply customer services brush off your complaints hoping you will go away
As plants are fragile there can be problems but gardening direct, thompson and morgans, unwins, and suttons group always deal sympathetically do not treat you like a moron or liar and send replacement plants
Some of the best plants I have received have been from tiny ebay sellers and have had no failures from these sources Perenials are good from Unwins.
I have also decided to use the RHS list of nurseries as they at least are interested in gardening
