I will have the binoculars at the ready! . Your thong will come in handy when you head off on your hols as its smaller to pack, easier to wash and quicker to dry! All things come in small packages
Away last week in August, cant wait!
Spag bols made and eaten! , nice bottle of red wine ! Booked a holiday today to the algarve, portugal. . Going with my two big sisters, we are all thouroughly fed up with this weather! They live in Edinburgh and its been a total washout down there. Freezing cold, wet and windy up here today and for the forseable future, and before you ask geoff, yes I have put a jumper on !! . No jumpers required for the algarve though .
The stone is dry with shadows on the ground up here in the outer hebrides.
Cous cous with a medley of roast vegetables, dolop of sour cream , & a fish cake may make it onto my plate aswell.
Not long home from work, its freezing here! Turned my heating off a few weeks ago and now i have forgotten how to switch it on again .....Its underfloor heating, .. dont ask!!

@ Gaffelbiter you say you have an allotment in Edinburgh? My mum has allotment also in Edinburgh, where abouts in Edin do you plot? maybe you are my mums neighbour! @ Alisonfd,my mum in Edin always reckons they are about 4 weeks behind compared to down south with gardening stuff. Im living and gardening in the outer hebrides and I reckon Im about 2 months behind with flowers and veg. But hey look at the extra light we get at night... Last night I was out in my garden in day light till 11.30pm and then light again at 2am. No torches required here for slug patrol !! Enjoy x
Just to add some non usefull information..... Myself and OH took a year out and travelled around Australia, where we picked up jobs fruit and veg picking, Pink lady apple being one. There was a special technique that you had to use to pick them off the tree, which I never really mastered!! and certain conditions to pick in, hot dry weather. Pink lady apples are big business in Australia, I think especially being exported to Japan. They way to tell if you've got a good en is when you cut it into half there should be a lovely jelly like consistency.. yum yum!!
