I would love to get in Friday evening from 5.30 but appreciate all the tickets to Chelsea sold out months ago! Has anyone tried the suggestion of arriving and trying to get returns in person at the gate? I don't know whether it is totally unrealistic and I'm likely to be met with a queue of hundreds. I would have to travel for an hour and a half - realistically, am I likely to get near the gate from anyone that has tried?

Big blobs of clear jelly!

So helpful - thank you all. I think the images were really useful, but no, none of them are particularly similar. I'm going to hope it was the water retentive gel. That would make sense as I would have put some new compost on these areas. Nothing to worry about - was dreading having giant slugs! Thanks again

Big blobs of clear jelly!

When weeding this afternoon I found quite significant balls of clear jelly - some as big as...... 3 grapes! They were not joined by tracks of jelly and were throughout the border, largely out in the open. It was in 2 particular areas, one shade and one sun.Are these large blobs slug related? I tried to pick it all up and threw it in the waste....or just dug some in the soil! It is a relatively new garden and we actually had very few slug related 'injuries' last year. Should I prepare myself !!!?

Peony tree - help!

Excellent- looks like the best is yet to come! I will leave well alone and try and be more patient. Thanks for advice to all. I'm sure I'll be distracted by the 'will I, won't I ' debate as to when to plant my bedding out soon and leave the peony tree to it!

It is in the ground and has full sun. I will try and get some bonemeal this afternoon. Hopefully, if this week warms up as it is forecast to, it may make a difference. Thanks for the advice

I'm a novice gardener and look forward to my GW 30 mins treat every Friday night. I feel really reassured by the ' jobs to do this weekend' and love Montys style. Nigel is a star and I agree with a previous response re a personal blog for him!

Tree Peony

The email link as answered my question posted yesterday as to advice as to why my peony tree hasn't flowered. I think I may be being too impatient as it hasn't warmed up yet and the new plant was only planted last April. Thanks Paul

Peony tree - help!

Thanks for taking time to reply - it's good to know I'm not alone! I know peonies don't like being moved but I had hoped from ' new' to have had something by now. I was debating whether to contact Crocus directly as they do guarantee their plants? Hopefully there is someone out there who can help us both
