Bio roof weeds

Posted: 31/07/2016 at 09:18

Have just weeded the bio roof, which is on our single storey extension. The mosses are beginning to get smothered by the weeds. If I apply weed killer will it kill the mosses too? Would appreciate any advice. Thanks

Citrus - When to water?

Posted: 29/11/2014 at 17:35

I got my citrus in August and it started to flourish. I just got back from a business trip and found that the leaves are wilting and the one small lemon I had has dropped off. my instinct is to give it a good water but am a little paranoid about over watering. It is kept in the coservatory and gets good light So I don't think its the light. I last watered it around 3-4 weeks ago.

Any advice gratefully received!

Is this a weed?

Hello, I have lots of these in my garden and don't know if they are weeds or wild flowers. I know that weeds are only in the eye of the beholder but does anybody know what they are please?

Yes. Some shrubs and some bulbs starting to come through.

Horse manure

I recently had a trailer load of reasonably old manure donated. To get it on the garden (and off the drive) quickly I layered it on the beds. I know I need to work it into the soil but does anybody know is there any harm in leaving it for a few more weeks?

Miracle Gro Flower Seeds

Posted: 01/12/2013 at 06:38

I sowed the 'Miracle Gro' seeds in the Spring and Summer and have had a lovely crop of wild flowers, some of which are still flowering. Question is should I just leave them to naturally die back and re-seed themselves in the Spring or to cut them back/tidy up now and let them come back in the Spring? Any advice?
