HELLO FORKERS!

Wonky, I remember a child beheading my prize (well only prize to me) alliums- how he kept his head I'll never know but he's not been back since!

Good luck Woody. Nice pics gg.

Verdun, be a luv and have a look at the pics for ID on my remember thread would you?

Done a bit in the garden, cut down some flowered bits from philadelphus, also hodeum grass cos even though it still looks nice it speads like mad, and now shows off the other grasses better. Going to have chocolate cosmos, Mrs Bradshaw germ and that blue spire thing with the feather bed when I can split n rearrange them...plans, plans...

Why don't I remember what plants I have?

Me again with new photos. (I can't tell from Mr Google nut).

the top ones are what FB gave me stipa tennuisima, upright (but can't get a pic when it's not windy) and a mass of flower/feathers.

the bottom ones are more sprawling and have long tails of feathers.

Thanks folks.

Yes Tetley, the grey matter is a bit fried, especially as I've probably pulled more of the s.patens out! Could it self seed as I (also) don't remember planting it in that border

Yes FB, the grasses are what you gave me, but not sure which ones. there's definately two different types (well three if you count the hordeum).

Still need to look up S.pennata, Nut, but it doesn't ring a bell with the name. I'll try and get a better photo.

Lesley - pass a garden with a huge Bowles M every day, always first to flower (before almost anything in my garden) and just keeps going!

Winter - yep, got other lobelias which have been in situ a few years, they do 'ok' with only a little care (poor things) but took a chance and will give this one a different place and see how it gets on.

Marvellous! Another lost thread I'll start again!

Runny, love the black hollyhock, they don't do well in my garden, in fact don't do anything!

Matt, what's the penstemon behind your astrantia? Looks like one I have (not in flower yet), but this is its 'sister' called 'ice cream strawberries and cream' -
