Hello everyone - old friends ( ok less of the old, my 'special' birthday in a couple of weeks) and an extra hello to newbies I've missed. Hope you and yours are all well, and gardens gracefully giving in to the seasons.

I've just time for another passing post, wish I could say I'd be a regular on here again but reality sets in!

If you remember I sowed loads of cosmos intending to give it away - school fair, car boots etc. Well most of it went in my garden - never again! don't get me wrong I love cosmos but oh what a jungle it became, well it would with 50+ plants in a not huge garden! A bit early but it's all out now, and the garden can breathe again.

Verdun, I might have killed the feather bed! I dug it all up to replant and space out ready for next year. Yes, probably a better idea in spring , now I can't tell if it's sleeping or dead!

Panda, I'm guessing you have a new job - well done and hope it goes well.

Enjoy your weekend everyone.

Hi all.
Hope the Bressie gang have had a good day and returned safely.
Welcome back Pdoc, sounds like you had an amazing time.
A day off with son tomorrow, but he's absolutely tired out (asleep in car within minutes of picking him up from grandads) so we may have to have a lazy day instead of a fun day. I see far too little of him in the holidays so like to have day trips, but sometimes a fun-at-home day works out the better option.

Hey all!
Everyone been behaving themselves? (well apart from Wonky! What time?!?!)
Just caught up on followed threads, not dared to look at pictures thread yet - need more time!
Been thinking about tulips for two days solid, in fact since JParkers bulb porn catalogue came with GW mag.
Happy enough with my garden atm, not great but happy. Planting tubs n pots was my aim this year and it's made a huge difference to the overall look of the garden, just means everywhere else isn't so good, but that's ok, just watching for stuff maturing and making plans.

Why don't I remember what plants I have?

Thanks everyone, not checked in for a while.
Thanks Nut, for coming up trumps again. Anemanthele lessioniana has been said outloud, typed out, written down and committed to whatever grey matter of a memory I have left!

Two days in the garden, kinda feel a bit more satisfied now, but the weed killer didn't work on the paths so still got that to do. The jobs that have been bugging me can't be done till ' Lucifer ' has finished his stuff, but then the plant moving / re jigging will begin!
Hope you've all had a good weekend.

There we go! I knew if I looked back enough I'd find how to work this site - couldn't post so eventually found a post (Kef?) telling me how to use 'basic editor' from settings! So here I am! A bit late for anyone I suppose?
I had wanted to post a new thread for ID - but little miss clever clogs remembered what it was after a couple of hours... I have a plant called Baptista - however I wish I'd not looked it up cos now I know it's in the wrong place and doesn't like moving!
I'm not at all happy with much in my garden this year, love all the plants but want them ALL rearranged!
Spent the day pottering, pondering the autumn moves, grass cutting, tinkering, and then an evening of watering (after lovely OH fixed both hosepipes).
Missed your errr mishaps (!) last night Edd! Have a lovely time on your venture and see you at xmas!

Oh wow. Didn't know that cannas could be left in pots. Always thought they needed plenty of room and to be deep in soil.
Btw - morning all! Sleepy this morning but gotta get moving coz leaving a bit earlier as there are major roadworks with inevitable delays. Have a good one everyone
