Spring, summer, and a good dose of TIME!

What's flowering in your garden today?

Wow thanks everyone, I'm totally jealous now! Not been able to look at forum since posted this thread, so just been though it, and now I have a wonderful view of your gardens.
when I'm not at work or locked in the kitchen I'll have look to check on some mentioned which I might have hiding somewhere- thanks for the reminders, I DO have hellebores, phlmonaria and a single jasmine flower (stripped by builders earlier in the year!). Daffodils are barely green shoots up to now. I did find my tubs of bulbs with shoots coming through lying sideways after the winds had blown the tubs over. Did I miss it but no one seems to have mentioned beginia (spelling?).

All I've got are snowdrops and some straggley wallflowers! Make me green with envy over your early flowers.

Night all. Wondering how I'm ever gonna catch up with all your news ! Early morning tomorrow, son at hospital appt 8.45 and I'm meant to be on a CPR course at 9.30... Not gonna happen is it? I've alread said I'll be lucky to make it for 10.30!
Saw at tall planter at GC today, 60cm H I think. ??65. Been having a think about an evergreen for it. Would like a phormium but don't thi.I the roots willl want to be confined (narrow). Box is always a possiability. Something with height and screening but still goes well in a tall narrow planter. Maybe an evergreen grass verd?

Afternoon all. Had a lovely day , well just an afternoon in the garden yesterday. Rubbish taken to the tip this morning ( in my new car, groan). Watching bluetits great tits and blackbirds in mums garden, apparently also nut hatches and long tailed tits too, OH and a robin. Funny how tits reverts to fits in prescriptive text. Drizzly, windy and chilly out there today, but it's coming, spring is nearly here... Honest!

Back garden privacy

my sympathies katy2, the same thing happened to me last year, shrubs, trees and sheds/outbuildings all gone as new neighbours moved in. Fencing is definitely the way to go, although I have invested in a row of trees for the future too. Good luck, and hope you enjoy your garden and privacy again soon.

verdun and AWB your comments made me smile, I'm not at all sure if I can manage not to over plant, but will try - and then I'll complain when I have to cut and dig out! No winners in this garden business! Live and carry on making the same mistakes again..

FB think ive got that - chop crossing branches, then when growth starts cut to 3 buds.

PD what car are you thinking of - of course I'm only asking what colour.?

FG if you're around I've just replied to an old PM!

snowdrops looking good but not much sign of oth bulbs yet.
