You could also do with some marginal plants in the pond to soften the edging and cover the liner too if there are different levels in the pond hopefully or put plants onto bricks sunken into the pond at different levels too.

You could always surround the bench with trellis at either end and above and behind, planting clematis to grow up and over it, depending upon whether you wish to hide the wall behind if not, just a square archway above the bench would be nice with large pots either end

In my lawn I kept on getting ants nests coming up last year and other than putting neat bleach down i dont really know what to do about it they just appeared somewhere else! I the far corner of my garden i inherited a mound of grass growing on closer inspection last year it held lots of rockery like stones so I decided to install it as a rockery but near the bottom i unearthed an ants nest.........so I put neat bleach down and they started appearing in the lawn it drove me mad last year....i dont want the same as this year can anyone help?

The leaves look like this but cant ever remember seeing the blossom like this and ive been here 3 yrs now but it still attracts the insects in their thousands

Thanks but to be honest ive never noticed much blossom on it, i think its just the leaves that attract the insects.......will take a closer this year

yes i think so they sound like it.....or really seen a bloom and never tasted them....a neighbour told me they were wild plum bushes about 4' tall quite a thick hedge little roundish leaves

Thank you very much but it has very very tiny fruits and i couldnt get near due to the bees, wasps and bluebottles, do you think a weedkiller would do the trick and then plant either an ivy or russian vine to smother it
