What do you do with Allium Bulbils

morning all,its fab here in south staffs sun just showing birds singing heaven,will soon be at work ,cant wait its in the garden ,worth all those months of cold

I had a lot to move two years ago so with no home i planted in rows in a vacant patch in the kitchen garden they gave a show last year a few but this year look fabulous and nearly all showing so i agree with dove  make sure you dont give them too rich a soil thry do better poor and a sunny spot with their feet above soil level i love them only a short lived show but they give spikey structure all year

am worrying too may be nuts right everything being late has a knock on effect maybe its that i was in the garden today for a few hours not one did i see very scary

had a handfull for breakfast the other day always pot up a few and put in green house for early pickings yours look great making mouth water

you could lay down some polythene over the obvious infested areas the polythene heat brings the grubs to the surface in the mornings collect up and dispose

do you do a "Chelsea chop ? if so what plants !

I use bamboo got 2 huge thickets of it and our local woods to get twiggy supports looks natural and saves money

i ve surrounded my lettuces and cabbages with sheep wool horse hair and egg and sea shells this year no damage yet

I have around 360 to plant out in a large circle with a shell in the middle i do this every year so ffar ive never pinched out and they all have grown into decent plants
