years ago when i raised pheasants we used to put creasote rags around the pens to deter foxes that didnt work either .....lol

This year i planted a row of tagetes then a row of chives either side my carrot plot and so far .....touch wood no fly looks pretty tooo

i started picotee and seashells early and did later sowings which are budding now my earlier sowings have been flowering for a good month planted by a wall on a slight gradient they havent got too soggy

have just sown another row of carrots 4 rows of spinach and raddichio and put in 4 pumkin babys fingers and everything else crossed

soaking in water over night gets them going i did my mums like that and they romped away!my runners are useless scrawny yellow bottoms some are flowering some have beans on but they wouldnt feeed a sparrow!!!!!

!n december i started my tomato plants off they are now plastered in tomatoes but are being very slow in ripening sunshine needed i think!

i have five burpless on the go in the greenhouse they are doing well had five decent sized cucs so far mine are in buckets and are fed once a week with tomato food or comphrey
