Please can you tell me if you sow these directly in the ground or into trays & do you need to keep them warm?

This year I have brought some tender plants that need protecting from frost, would it be enough to just stand them in the greenhouse, they are in pots, or would I need to heat the greenhouse or maybe put up bubble wrap?
I would prefer not to use a heater if possible, would putting them in a shed be better & do I water them?

Has anyone grown a chocolate tree? I saw a picture of one & would like to give it a go, wondered if I could get any information on how easy they are to grow.

I have grown Cosmos from seed, they are planted out in the garden but just keep growing, some are 3 ft tall, lovely bushy plants but no flowers, what can I do to encourage them to flower?

I have been battling the brambles that grow over from next door & feeling very fed up,not to mention cut to pieces by the blasted things. I wondered what problems everyone else has to contend with & what they hate doing most.

If you have purchased tickets for Gardeners World Live through Groupon be aware that they are not for the day but only from 12pm. I believe that when they were originally on sale this wasn't obvious & they have now changed the description to afternoon tickets.

Personally I don't like edging to the borders it stops me from expanding them a few mm when my husband isn't looking.

Thank you, there are four, my husband pulls them up but because they have rooted down a gap at the side of the house they always come back. I quite like them.

Could it be Phacelia? I'm no expert & I might be wrong but just a thought.

No it doesn't have any flowers, it is quite woody in the middle.

I got this at a plant swap, I liked the leaves but have no idea what it is.

I did the same thing went to Asda food shopping, bought two clematis at £2 each impossible to resist. I was wondering where to put them, a pot with an obelisk sounds a great idea & I can move them around the garden.

We have started to see Red Kites, they don't come into the garden, just circle above but the small birds are frightened off by them. We also have a lot of seagulls about & we are nowhere near the sea, it's strange to hear them calling, reminds me of being on holiday.
