Second Potatoe Crop

Posted: 17/07/2013 at 13:10

No, they won't grow this season.

Both 'Charlotte' and 'Maris Peer' are available from T&M, and others no doubt, for later cropping,'Carlingford' is another variety, usually for xmas potatoes.

Better using certified seed anyway, less chance of virus problems, it's possible to replant in the same place if you feed the soil for the second crop.

After seeing that from obelixx, I think you are all probably right, thank you.

That's the problem with inheriting plants with a house.

There will be another later in the year to identify, when it flowers.

Pear or Apple?

Must be a regular occurence, we bought plums and got cherries instead.

When I complained the company said " sometimes they throw odd fruit in the first year, wait another twelve months and see what comes then".

I made them change the trees straight away.

No idea about yours, can anyone name this one.  Still a lot to open and there's even more at the other side of the fence.

Can anyone tell me what this is?

Charlotte usually does flower, how long since you planted

One picked today after 13 weeks.

Could be ready, have a feel down the side of the bag and see what's there, or could be lack of water, they do need quite a lot once the tubers form.
