Planting Passion Fruit Outside

Posted: 02/06/2013 at 12:38

Hi, I am thinking about planting my passion fruit outdoors now as it is about 5 feet tall. I have put it outside in the pot during the day for a week. My question is, after I replant, should I cover it from the sun or will it be okay with direct sunlight after replanting?

Many thanks.

Watermelon in the UK?

Posted: 17/05/2013 at 01:29

Hi, I have just had a watermelon (Grown in Spain). Just wanted to ask if you think it would be possible to grow in the UK using a plastic cover for heat. Or is this just not possible?

Thanks.

Whats going wrong!?

Thought that might be the case. Considering that I live in North West England, when do you think it would be okay to put them outside + should I be giving it a citrus fertilizer now or later?

Hi, I have been growing passion fruit plants for a few months and they have reached about 4ft in height. I had about 4 of them so decided to plant two outside. However, after about a week the leaves started to turn white and they both died!

I do want to put the others outside but I dont want the same to happen to them too. Is it because they need more heat? Maybe they dont like being replanted?

Thanks for the help!

Passion Fruit Problems!

Posted: 13/04/2013 at 14:13

Hi, I have bought passion fruit from a shop and planted the seeds, they have all grown quite fast up to about 4 feet tall. However, some of them have developed what looks like a disease where some leaves have turned pale green then white.

I asked why this had happened at the garden centre, but they were not sure why this had happened.

-They are kept warm, well watered, maybe I have given them too much fertilizer?

Any help or ideas will be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Fertilizing with BIOGROW (how often)

Posted: 09/04/2013 at 17:37

Hi, I have just purchased an organic fertilizer 'BIOGROW' made by 'BioBizz', on the label it says to 2-4ml/Litre and to use every time I water my plants (Passion fruit, Chilli ect).

Considering I have a heated floor and water my plants often, would this be over-fertilizing them?

A further note : I have just planted seeds - should I fetilize them now or wait until the first true leaves have grown?

Thanks,
