| About me: | I'm new to gardening, having just acquired my own garden. My Mother is a keen gardener, so the door to gardening has always been open. Gardeners World has been a huge inspiration. I did not realise how deep my interest in plants went.
My garden was neglected and overgrown. I started by returfing, and am now taming and controlling it in stages, planting new plants I'm new borders and containers.
Our soil is very chalky. With little more than 2ft of soil before reaching chalk!
Location is windy and exposed, by the sea.
No trees are In the garden - something I'd like to change.
I like to encourage all forms of wildlife. A portion of my garden is still untamed and I plan to grow a meadow in that section.
