fuchsias slow to flower

Posted: 31/07/2014 at 14:54

I would cut each branch back to a strong node to encourage new growth, also dont put them in full sun, grow them on in light sun or partial shade.Feed them with a fertiliser with fairly high nitrogen content ie Miracle grow to encourage the new growth.Hope this helps.

Dare I say.

What is causing my tomatoes to distort so badly ? I have watered and fed them regularly.

Have taken both suggestions, I have fenced it off as Fairygirl suggested and I will now deal with the slugs. Thanks again to both of you.

Thanks Fairygirl, I think you may be right as we have quite a few around here. Good idea about the shelves I will give it a try.

Something eating my tomatoes, could it be pigeons? They are growing in the garden in a pot. Would it be best to move them in the greenhouse?

Corn Cockle can kill?

Posted: 16/07/2014 at 09:49

In the Daily Mail today it states that Corn Cockle is poison and can cause severe stomach pains, vomiting, diarrhoea, dizziness, weakness, slow breathing and even death by touching it. Surely this cant be right as it is included in a lot of Wildflower seed mixes.I have grown it in my garden for the past few years and have never heard of this plant being a danger.
