I expect wet and windy weather is even worse, Geoff!

Glyn, yes I am on my iPad. You can get some smileys by using symbols together
Eg. : then ) gives you
; then ) gives you
: then D gives you

I like the knot garden idea too.
I had a large yucca in the middle of my small front lawn. It has since been removed as it got to be a nightmare being stabbed by it as I mowed the lawn or walked past it! It looked impressive when in flower and it was very structural. I saved and am nurturing some of the baby ones for in a large pot.

I have a small island bed in the lawn now with a corkscrew hazel, a Caryopteris Heavenly Blue, a salvia and seasonal interest with bulbs, primroses and annuals.
The lawn has a border along the path that curves round under the window.

Actually Geoff, I think mine is genuine! I am just very cynical and suspicious!
Will still log in from usual page

Glad I read your Paypal email info, Geoff.
I had one too.
I have ignored it and thought I would log in the usual way and check my account!

Afternoon everyone!
Started to rain again but I managed to get out and test out my new Christmas pressie secateurs!
Just a bit of tidying but lovely to be out in the fresh air.

Loads of little catkins coming on my corkscrew hazel. Last year there were some hazelnuts. Didn't eat them-wasn't sure what to do with them really. Thought about drying them but they dropped off in wet windy weather.
Dug out lots of baby yucca plants. The big yucca was dug out but these keep on popping back up!

Enjoy the iPad, Becks! I love mine

Hello everyone! Welcome to Rambling Rose, too.

Nothing exciting to report from me either. A couple of new big plastic boxes in readiness for packing up decorations but that's about it!

I hope your house selling goes smoothly Geoff. If you have no particular ties here, well, why not? Go for it and enjoy the adventure! (and the weather, of course!)

Hello Geoff! It is a change to be on when the chat is going on. It is usually late when I pop in.

Ironing-better do some of that soon. There is a risk of a landslide style disaster as the pile has got so big!

Finally it stopped raining so it was coats on and out for some fresh air. Went to Fountains Abbey, always good for a brisk walk. I was getting cabin fever, sick of it raining!
Hope everyone has a lovely end to 2012

Hello everyone! Popping in at a more sensible time today

Caz-very handy, those IKEA bags. I have one in the boot for impromptu garden centre visits!
Love the jar idea.

I use propagators in the conservatory, Norm2.
I have 2 heated and some unheated for when seeds have sprouted, then trays when pricked out. No electricity/ heat in the greenhouse, I grow seeds out there when a little warmer.
