Funny, I've not heard any fireworks yet round here. I will be going to the organised one rather than having any at home.

Becks-what an experience!

Evening all!
I won't be dressing up for Halloween, having a bonfire night family get together Friday instead.
Have some parkin cooking at the mo, almost done. The kitchen smells lovely
I have a recipe for sticky toffee apple cake to try later in the week too.

Jo-my spare room is waiting for a sort out as well (it has been on the to do list for a while!)

Dean-it is getting trickier to be bright eyed and bushy tailed with these darker mornings!

Right, oven timer beeping.....better dash!

I need to write all the name changes down to keep track

Kate...Yum, pancakes! It's ages since I have made scotch pancakes. I could just fancy some now The doughnuts sound good as well.

Flo?? Was it you with the parrot? I always fancied having a parrot! (We have a budgie though)

Geoff- I think it is exciting when the egg laying begins too.
I like the variety of topics discussed, a the different little snippets and themes. You learn something new all the time, fungi this week!

Becks-lemon tree, have had lemons off it but not this year, had to trim it to shape as it was looking sorry for itself, made a recovery though. Maybe next year.

Got buried under the paperwork and a hectic end to the week.
Anyway, had a quick flick through posts.

A bit traumatised to look out and see a sprinkling of snow!
My poor lemon tree is still out
Will bring it into the conservatory tomorrow.
Glad it is the weekend.

What's the weather like in your area?

Just popping in! Back to work in a minute (at home-paperwork and laptop today).
Grabbing a few minutes with my coffee before getting back to it.

Hope everyone is recovering!
Weather dismal and damp here. I must get organised with more tender plants. I got 2 penstemon recently. I planted one and am going to overwinter the other in the greenhouse (unheated) as I have lost my previous plants in the bad winters.

My email notifications have been very slow or not at all recently.

Chris, that cake looks lovely! A slice for me please!

Been catching up on posts. Has been a busy week and I haven't had time to pop in properly. Been for a walk into town today as the sun was lovely.
Will have a good browse through later on.

Evening Geoff ....and all other FFs

Mince pies, yum. We have already had some, they won't of course count towards my happy month quota as the unmentionable time of year is not yet upon us!

Oh, hang on....just got "The bra that rewinds time" one!

Dean, I have tried the occasional audio book but prefer reading books myself, sometimes the reader's voice irritates a bit or they aren't fast enough. That's just me

Fig, the jam looks fab!
