Shoe shopping....Funnily enough it isn't the logo or make of shoe that is the problem it is the shape/ style of them. He isn't picky about brands at all but I know a lot are!

Pam- your lunch sounds yummy!

Raining here again! Yesterday was much better but had the job of buying new school shoes, my son (14) had worn a hole in his new ones only 4 weeks into the term!
It is always a nightmare, I see a pair of black shoes similar to the ones he has and likes but no, they are apparently awful enough to cause complete social humiliation.

Glad you are feeling better Geoff!

Well done with your coin collecting Jean!

Best not mention lofts to my OH or will be told about how ours needs a good clear out.

I'm glad you posted this query and got an ID.
I saw one a couple of weeks ago and wondered what it was too!

Dean, my sympathies about your day around North Yorks, it has been a pain getting around and about. I was squeezing down roads too narrow for trucks on Tuesday, sharing them with lorries and traffic that couldn't get down the A1. I was glad to get home as well

Geoff, I do mop as it happens. That is a job waiting for me tomorrow. (I treated myself to the ironing today)

Becks, I liked the sound of that programme, had a look but found I don't have that channel

Afternoon. Really should be getting on but thought I'd pop in here before hanging out a wash load (keeping my fingers crossed it stays dry). Been at work this morning and now catching up with jobs at home.

Flo, Kate is right, I do live in North Yorkshire, in Ripon.

Don't seem to see many moths, maybe I am not looking hard enough. More birds coming to the feeders now and before the rain there were quite a few butterflies.it is so long ago that I had seen a Red Admiral that I had forgotten what they looked like. I took a photo and had to look it up.

Anyway, best crack on!

Hello all, just checking in!
Quite a mix of topics today Fancy dress and the lovely pics of moths and greenhouse plants. (I wish my greenhouse looked like that.)

The weather has been better up here today. My house is fine but the flood water has made travel rather tricky! Went to pick up my daughter from an after school club yesterrday and it was a bit of a magical mystery tour getting there and home with various roads closed. Traffic was bad with the A1 being closed and lorries having to divert too.
Anyway, safe, sound and dry.
