Hello everyone! Been AWOL with a hectic weekend and back to school!
Have had a browse through....

Inka-lovely pics
Jean- I have eaten goat as well (mountain goat in Spain....a bit chewy!)
Sue-hope your fingers recover soon.

Dean-my Mum and I grow asparagus down on our allotment. I is lovely to have your own when it costs so much!
We've had it a while now. Planted it in a trench with the crowns spread out on a mound. Didn't pick any the first year. 2nd year picked a few spears but after that pick until June then leave to go to leaf to build up for next time. Quite thin spears at first but lovely done on the BBQ for a few mins.

Will have to read back moe thoroughly as I know I have missed loads!

I'll see how I get on with pic. See if I get on computer later. Shame you can't add pics using an iPad in a straightforward way!

Cake tastes good, very moist.

Thinking of Eve's pudding, Bunny?

Sure they will be lovely Becks!
I need to try and stop eating as much cake. I made choc chip buns as well, in case tomato soup cake didn't work.

Hi Bunny, it does sound bizarre. The recipe said that nobody would guess the soup was in it if you didn't tell them! It was Heinz I used

Afternoon everybody!

Chilly here, got out for a bit of tidying and weeding this morning but had to give up as my fingers were killing me! Thermal gloves on too.
Never mind, I wrestled the bramble out from the back of the greenhouse. It is growing though the fence from next door

Treated myself (not) to pile of ironing
At least it's done.

Treated myself to some cake after that. Tried a new recipe from a book I got for Christmas-tomato soup cake!!
It is a traybake, spiced with ginger and cinnamon and has raisins in it. It is nice but all the time you are eating you are trying to see if you can taste the soup!
