Hanging baskets for Scottish climate

Posted: 07/04/2013 at 22:36

Im in Fife and mine has primula in it at the moment with pansies. Marshmello has summed it all up there

I got a great plant last year and it was in my baskets for about 5 months. Only problem is...I dont know the name. I called it mouse ears as they are small leaves which, surprise surprise, look like mouse lugs

Its been done a little at a time I have to admit. My ME wont allow me to go hammer and tongs anymore but I get there

Caz...brambles are creeping in to my garden too  Damn things come from the woodland and spend all my time cutting and pulling them back. I need a weedkiller that will get rid of them. Any ideas?

Rosa. So did I. I dont know who it is that needs disowned but daft is all I will say!

SO....(I do like my 3 little dots incase no one has noticed) hehe

I too use facecloth for advertising for my business and it has been great for that.

My garden is looking great. All the brambles and nettles are dug out, retaining wall will be built in a couple of weeks...a couple more wee jobs to do regarding hard landscaping and we are a GO

No snow here for about 10 days now. Still a bit chilly at night mind but doing well. Seeds are coming on, bug hotels being made and homemade dragonflies are clear coated and will be homed in the garden in the next week

Hehehe, that would be wonderful Muddy paws. I dont have one but feel it will be the same in this house. OH has a very sweet tooth as does all the lads that come round on a sunday. I had 6 motorbikes out front today and they were all in eatting flapjacks and fairy cakes and drinking buckets of tea lolol. They are all big softies really lol.

The fairy was in a garden at the Gardening Scotland show in Edinburgh in 2011. It was humansize and stunning. There were a couple more too...

Seeds are up

I have a few delphs which I grew from seed last year and they are doing fine. I have some in the greenhouse and have been very daring and put some out in the garden already. It was -1 here last night but felt like -3. They seem quite happy. The stems are fragile and i have staked mine already as they are between 3/4 and a foot. There are a couple of leaves that have turned in on themselves in the garden but the rest are looking ok so Im hoping that they will be safe

I lost my daliahs also
