My lilies aren't even showing yet but the tulips,crocus and dafs are just starting.

I have seen a willow tree cut down cut in sections and stacked and the logs on top start to throw out shoots so go ahead trim it and if you want another willow just stick one of the branches in the ground.

Try white vinegar, cinnamon powder,Ants do not like the taste of cucumbers,Table salt,mint.

What do you do with grass clippings?

Here in Ontario it is recommended to leave grass cuttings on the lawn as they will rot and feed the lawn.If you must put them in your compost then let them dry out and turn brown before composting.Green grass in a compost stinks.

I don't think so Daffodil4 I think you just set it back quite a bit.When the new growth starts you probably wont see flowers until next year as blooms always come on last years growth.. Do not fertilize until there's lots of growth.

Forester 2 the snow is gone but because the great lakes froze over completely we are getting a very slow start to spring.Its 9 c today but the ground is still holding frost.It doesn't look to promising for May and Victoria day (24th May) is our planting day.

Orchid Lady that is the perfect container for Lotus,just add 4 inches of pee gravel sun and lotus and get stunning blooms.
