You are right Gilly, I cannot comment on other peoples break ups and the problems it all brings having had a long happy marriage until Joan Passed on a couple of years ago. I picked myself up refused the medication the Doctor offered and although it still hurts carry on as she would have wished.
A Wedding brought all the family together from as far as California two weeks ago and today they fly off to their own homes, of course I will miss them so got stuck in to a big clean up, washing, and catching up in the garden, "err" just having a quick cuppa at the moment not skiving.
It would not work for every one especially when there is a money shortage, I hardly saw my children when they were growing up working hard to keep them, I do see a lot of them now though, the family are very strong and we do get comments on it.
Sometimes sacrifices are worth it in the end although making those sacrifices does hurt, it comes down to choices.

Stockton Sunshine, it perked up yesterday and we had a lovely sunset, today wall to wall sunshine and the clothes about to go out on the line.

Stockton "orrible wever" Rain storms windy cold, can only get better.

Zoomer, with the time I would not use the machine, if pushed the machine will do the mixing and knocking down whilst I do something else, then take it out to raise it and cook in the oven, as an Engineer "well ex" I would use the available tools to make life easy, Jus-Rol will give a nice pie topping and save a lot of time for you rushing around people, now I have all the time in the world apart from family tea or lunch.

My Daughter here from California is the Church organist, Granddaughter sitting watching me play the piano asked "how come you can talk to us and play at the same time Mum cannot" practice dear girl practice.
They go back Thursday, Daughter who got married on the 5th now in Greece so I will get a bit of peace and quiet for a couple of days.
I made it through the whole day until the midnight hour, was staying at the Hotel as were quite a lot so rolled into bed and slept like a log, up for breakfast bright and bushy tailed (funny that I did not go to bed with a bushy tail) and fun was had by all.

Fairygirl /daughter life is fun and I love making them sweat a bit. My way is to discover their web site go through customer complaints which they do not read until I find the follow up supervisor, I have had refunds, rates dropped and even shopping vouchers from some firms.
The B/G Electric said they will refund me anyway but why can they not just take it off the Gas bill I ask?? Well it seems they use two different systems.
Oh well it all gives me something to-do and any how my Tomato's have flowers on the first truss so who cares.

seedling help?

Lisa, seeds need warmth and with some that also means cover either a plastic lid or a plastic bag over them, the compost should be moist not wet.
It is late for some of those seeds although you could still get a result. take a walk through a Garden Centre they would be selling off plants on the cheap rack now if they have any left, just start earlier next year with some heat and shelter.
I have a greenhouse and a sand bed with warming cables to start things off although this year it all started much later than normal, I saw this morning my Tomato's have flowers on them so although a month late you can see they are well on from seed.
This is a friendly board so do not be afraid to ask we are here to help as to the seeds put them somewhere warm and keep them just damp, I water seed trays from the bottom up, stand the tray in water for a few minutes, then see what comes, quite often they can take time to germinate. Who knows if we have a warm Autumn you could be eating your harvest when all ours have long gone.

Pentillie, had a very good pot of tea in a Cafe in Helmsley last week, Yorkshire tea, hot and strong with a jug of boiling water too, I did enjoy it.
We still get Rington's tea here, the van calls and if I have too much left they take it back and give me fresh. I love their Ginger biscuits, you know you have had one unlike those tiny round things from the S/Market with no taste.

My rant is B/Gas, they now owe me £225 saying they will fund it back, I am dual fuel and that is the Electric, I owe a bit less than that on the Gas both paid monthly through the bank so why can they not take it off the Gas then. What is so complicated about running a single account for both I ask?????

Stockton on Tees, Sunshine, Rainstorm, High winds, that was the first hour, back to sunshine, less wind, cool so greenhouse just cracked open and I have flowers on my tomato's, not all bad news then.

Pamela, a favourite plant for me although 24 would be pushing it.
Spreading them around the garden attracts the insects for the other plants and I also have a couple around my sun trap seating area, the scent is fantastic.
Mine are all from cuttings now, with 24 you could go into business.
Sit now and then just enjoy what you have, I have learned to do that after many years, there was always something to do.
