Hi Bev - will that get rid of the huge white borders?

My Mum and Grandma used to call cowslips "peggles"! has anyone else heard that?

What veg have you got in there? I am only starting so I'm only at the seedling stage. I'm a bit worried I've missed the boat for this year

Is it me or is this rather large? Anyone know how I can paste smaller photos?

Compost making

Hi Frank - thanks for your reply.

I have moved into a house and inherited a fabulous garden that needed bringing back to life. The lavender in question was carefully, lightly pruned last year but I soon realised that sadly, the bushes had not been maintained properly and no amount of gentle pruning was going to persuade them to grow from the base again. So, I gave them the heave-ho! These will now go in the green bags like you advise and future prunings in the compost!

Thanks Pamela.  I'm in Bexley, Kent.  I even found my road!!  At least you know the names of your plants, which is more than I do.  I have to keep referring to the labels I now keep so I sound as if I know what I'm talking about, not that I ever try to give gardening advice. I'm just here for the chat.  Any plants bought before I joined a garden forum, about 5 years ago, I haven't got a clue.  When folk talk about plants on here, I have to google them to know what they are talking about.  How sad is that.  Still love it out there though.

Google images is invaluable isn't it? I tried using labels but my dogs developed a taste for them  so I have taken photos and made a list to try and help my ailing memory along!

TT, I think someone else beat me to it with the map
