Hi, would an underground barrier of some kind be an answer to the rampant spread of this pain from next door, how deep can the stems or stolons go? I have removed every bit from my garden and want to keep it well under control, thanks

Old boots is right, i potted a load of seedlings up last year into 1lt pots planted what i wanted, gave a load away, had about 20 plants left in pots going into winter, i'd put them in a tomato grow bag tray which filled with water and froze solid, all came up this spring??? They do need a lot of water thou, drying out seems to be the only way to hurt these plants

Building a Compost Heap

Posted: 24/06/2012 at 01:32

Hi, I built a compost bin with pallets and ended up lining it with black weed suppressing membrane, does it make it hotter, dont know, but it allows air in, water out, stick it with a fork and the holes close (a little), nothing falls out, and never need to do much cleaning up after turning, covered with a carpet, great compost, happy days

Acer (potted)

Hi Theresa, think marshmello nailed it on the fungus, just cleared mine, wiped them off with a cloth, get them every year, but acers seem to get die back where a branch or some just die, had two on my bloodgood and one on my griseum. Read some of the other Acer links, and there's plenty, same sort of problems
