Hi Borassus the area is more shady with sun coming through until blocked by the large oak tree. Idealy we would like the tree / shrub to reach about 4ft / 5ft in height thanks for your reply.

Miniature Tree or Bush

I am going to make a raised bed for my front garden it will measure 4.5ft x 3ft x 12" and in the centre i want to plant a nice looking miniature tree or flowering bush. The soil in my front garden is very dry due to a large oak tree in a neighbouring garden. I am stuck for ideas as to what type of tree / bush i would be able to plant so i am asking my friends on here for ideas please.

I have 40 Ipomoea Morning Glory seeds to plant but no instructions on how to plant them or what soil to use can someone help me please.
