I was thinking of keeping it uncovered once I'd taken a crop to eat so it could grow on for most of the year.

I've transplanted leeks into the garden for the flowers, but not tried eating them. I do eat chive flowers though which are tasty.

I also like calendula petals sprinkled on a salad or added to egg dishes. There's not a lot of flavour, but they're very pretty.

I've been given a small seakale plant (a rooted cutting really) I think they can get pretty huge and I don't have much space. If I force young shoots every years will that keep it small?
